Wonderful service! Love the food here! It's always fresh and authentic! This is where all the Chinese tour buses take the tourists for lunch. Lunch is well priced. Try the dinner specials too...amazing! The location is not fancy but very clean. It's a family run business that feels like home! Enjoy!

Was passing by town from Seattle and was looking for a place to eat, walked in it was empty and I became skeptical but when the food came out I was not disappointed! The server was very nice also and the food was great!

The service was pleasant and attentive, the food came out fast and tasted great. I really liked the way you could order spicy food on a scale of 1-10. I like spicy food and ordered it 7 and it was pretty darn spicy. For $12 me and my girlfriend both had a tasty lunch. It was so inexpensive for how much food we got I almost felt as if we were stealing from them....

I have tried many Chinese food restaurants in Idaho Falls, but I always go back to Yummi House. The family who runs the place is very friendly and welcoming. The menu selections are all reasonably priced. The food is prepared well and the portions are generous. I especially love the General Chicken. They even ask you how spicy you want it. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and have eaten at some very good Chinese restaurants. This one is the closest I have seen to the best ones in the Bay Area.

Great service and good Chinese at a decent price. They get busy for lunch but have a nice relaxing environment for dinner when its a little slower.

First Chinese experience in Idaho Falls and very disappointed. We ordered spring rolls, hot and sour soup, and general tso tofu. Spring rolls were much smaller than expected but tasted ok. Hot and sour soup was a huge disappointment. It was more like tangy egg drop soup with shreds of carrot in it. This was a far cry from any H&S I've ever had. General Tso was deep fried tofu, as expected, in a watered down sauce. If you are a vegetarian, stay away from this place.

I miss good chinese food. I have been to a couple of chinese restaurants in town and over all I have to say that if you are looking for good service and good chinese food in this town, then is the place where you want to be. I miss the Bay Area of California, chinese food was bountiful, but this will do here in IF. If you are like me and NEED chinese food at least once every other week, then go here, you wont be disapointed.

Just your typical Chinese restaurant nothing spectacular about it. I had the honey sesame chicken very generous portions. I love chile sauce but theirs not so much it had a wired taste I don't recommend it. Service was great and order came out quickly always a plus when I'm hungry! The food was just the typical Chinese food it wasn't great but wasn't terrible hence the three stars! If your looking for a quick Chinese eat with good service this is the place for downtown IF.

Chinese in Idaho Falls is always a rather bland experience, but the food at Yummy House was good, plentiful, and quickly served. The Hot and Sour soup was on a par with other IF restaurants, which is to say not much hot and not much sour. I had the Kung Pao Delight chef special, including chicken, beef and prawns. The dish was flavorful, and the ingredients were fresh (the peanuts were crunchy, not spongy!), though with too much celery for my taste. I asked for "very hot" and got at best a medium spiciness, which was pleasant, but not what I'd asked for. Service was attentive: they just opened so traffic was pretty light. Other diners that I conversed with raved about the food and promised to be back, so perhaps it meets the local standards.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
